In this article, we will talk about all the exciting aspects associated with the interview rounds of HasedIn. We will also try and look at a few exciting interview questions asked during these rounds.

Interview Stages

The whole interview process is divided into four stages,

- Coding Assessment
- First Technical Round
- Second Technical Round
- HR Round

HashedIn only visits a limited number of colleges, but you can apply for it during its off-campus drives from the official website. The selection process remains the same for both the off-campus and the on-campus drive.

Coding Assessment

This is the first round in the selection process for HashedIn. There are generally three coding questions from medium to hard level and twenty MCQs. Coding questions are usually related to Arrays and Strings, and the MCQs are based on Object-Oriented Programming. You can also expect a few debugging questions in this round. The duration of the test is about 120 minutes. Generally, only 45-50 students are selected for round two. This round is basically the shortlisting round, and only students with genuine interest and knowledge are able to clear this round. If you manage to clear all three coding questions, you will get a call for the SDE role, and if you solve two coding questions and partially attempt the third one, you will get a call for the SDET role. The test is conducted on the HashedIn platform and is an AI-based proctored exam.

First Technical Interview

In the first technical interview, you are asked to introduce yourself in under five minutes. You will also be asked to talk about your field of interest, such as operating systems, web development, full-stack development, machine learning, database management, etc. You can then expect to be asked questions associated with the topics mentioned above. For instance, if you choose operating systems, you can be asked questions about paging, virtual memory, and page faults.
After this basic introduction, the interviewer will ask you to solve an algorithm-based problem in a given timestamp. Don't worry. If you fail to do the first one, the interviewer will provide you with another opportunity to solve another problem in a given time frame. The whole duration of this round is about 60 minutes.

Second Tehnical Interview

This is going to be a pretty laid-back interview. It will be more like a discussion between you and the interviewer. You will be asked very basic questions like differentiating between Array and Linked List, different kinds of data structures used in Python, how is LinkedList better than an Array, etc. The interviewer might ask you about your interests and hobbies. Questions will primarily be based on your resume. This round will again have a lot of algorithm-based coding questions. They might also ask development-based questions if you have mentioned development as your skill in your resume. You can also interact with the interviewer and ask about the work culture at HashedIn, get suggestions regarding your interview performance, or even talk about the type of projects you might work on in HashedIn.

HR Round

This is the final round in the interview stage. This is like an interaction with the HR of the company. You will not be asked any coding questions in this round whatsoever. It will be a very personal interview, and you will be asked questions about yourself, your education, your family background, your hobbies, the ups and downs of your life, your strengths, things that keep you motivated, and why do you want to be a part of the HashedIn community.

Interview Experience

HashedIn interview round is not an easy task. It requires proper technical and mental skills. Before appearing for the rounds, you will also need to optimize your resume. You can follow these steps to optimize and create a better resume.

You can maximize the impact by highlighting essential keywords linked with the company requirements.

Always make sure that you list both your technical and soft skills.

Always keep your resume short and to the point. Don’t explain each and every project and skill mentioned in your resume.

If possible, mention your skills, projects, and work experience in bullet forms.

And the most important thing to keep in mind is not to add any irrelevant or fake achievements to your resume because the interviewers go through the resume thoroughly and ask you questions based on your resume. You don’t want to be caught up in an awkward situation during the interview.

You can practice your coding skills at CodeStudio and go through several such interview questions, all available to you in one place.

You can read about the HashedIn Interview Experience of people who have already appeared for the same at Coding Ninjas and learn from their experiences. You can also look at the questions they encountered during the interviews.
